About The Ink Lab
Long before trends shifted, Minneapolis established its rhythm in tattoo culture. The Ink Lab has carved a steady niche in that landscape. As a Minneapolis general service provider, they offer standard tattooing sessions alongside detailed repair work for older pieces. This specific focus on corrections distinguishes their menu from shops that only handle fresh skin. They also provide in-store shopping for aftercare supplies, allowing customers to grab essentials immediately after their session.
Visiting follows a predictable pattern that regulars appreciate. Clients arrive, check in at the front, and move to a private or open seating area depending on the session type. The environment remains consistent across visits, with clear protocols for hygiene and accessibility. For those needing adjustments, the process involves a thorough assessment of the existing tattoo before any needle touches skin. Staff maintain a steady pace, ensuring each step of the repair or creation is handled with care.
What sets this shop apart is their commitment to inclusivity and access. They feature wheelchair accessible entrances, restrooms, and seating, making the space usable for a broader range of clients. A gender-neutral restroom and explicit transgender safespace designations signal a deliberate stance on welcoming diverse patrons. Payment options include credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments, reducing friction during checkout. Wi-Fi availability lets clients stay connected while waiting or working.
With a 4.6/5 rating from 114 reviews, the shop has accumulated steady feedback over time. This volume of reviews suggests consistent service rather than occasional spikes in quality. Local residents often return here for the reliability of their repair work. The shop operates seven days a week from noon to seven in the evening, fitting easily into varied schedules. Their long-standing presence in the community reflects a focus on sustainable relationships with clients rather than rapid turnover.
