Laurissa is an extremely talented hairstylist. She pays attention to detail and always makes sure you are completely satisfied with her work. Elizabeth, who washed my hair was equally wonderful. She was so friendly and happy doing her job. Made me feel so welcome and the scalp massage… let me tell you it was exactly what I needed!! Thank you, both for making me feel beautiful again!!

I should update my review for this salon. I have been coming here now for months and every time I leave I still look phenomenal. Nellie listens to what it is that I want and somehow she makes it happen! I have been coloring my hair for years and this is the first time that I can say it never turns brassy and maintains its integrity. I'm letting my hair grow so it'll be interesting to see what we plan on doing with it next. I highly recommend The Look Spa and Salon.

I was recommended to The Look Salon from a good friend. Doreen, the owner was really friendly and beautiful job on my highlights and haircut! She took her time, listened to everything I wanted, and I never felt rushed. We were in and out of the salon within 2 1/2 hours which was phenomenal. My daughter had her hair done, with I believe Jackie, (haircut & blowout) and it was beautiful as well. They make their own hair color and products that are healthier. Very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere…The only bummer was that they are a $-pricier-$ salon 😕. This only means that I can’t get there as often as we would like to. We will be back.

The Look is definitely a reliable place for hair services. Ive gone to them twice within 7 months for special occasions. Makeup: They use in-house, specialty-made, mineral products with no fillers and other gunk. It's really good for folks with sensitive skin. Mine was made to match my skin tone perfectly. Very clean brushes and the sort - felt great. Doreen did my makeup and worked with me to make sure I had the look I wanted. Like many places, pics and trial runs will always work in your favor. I have naturally low volume/bulk hair and my hair looked amazing and not too taught/scalp showing. Talk with them about early morning sessions, they can accommodate if well in advance. Hair: They are absolutely able to do half up half down bridal, and fancy formal low buns. I've brought reference pictures and they nailed the look while having it flatter my face and hair type. Show pictures! They really work with you. I can't speak for hair washing/drying/cutting since I didn't use those services yet. Nails: I believe they're only on Thrusdays, but double check! I have had two different nail techs for the same thing: a french manicure and pedicure. The toes were polish, the nails were UV cured. To be perfectly honest, one did really well. The other not so much. The good tech made sure the coats were even, they cured properly, and my colors were matched perfectly as I wanted (I stay away from pink-hued nails). The other techs job began lifting near the cuticles within two hours of leaving, filed a lot on the side of my nails, and didnt match my hues. My toes were pink hued, my nails were not. The polish looked uneven in coating thickness. Both techs, however, did great with pedicure skin care (the soaking, the softening/filing, etc). Thing is, I was pressed for time so I couldn't come in to get my lifting fixed, but I know them - they'd absolutely help you without batting an eyelash. They also didn't mind me coming in for the acrylic removal without calling head (I obviously had to wait since there was a client, but that's on me, not them). Massage: Their services were wonderful. Really peaceful, welcoming, and open-minded so it's good for all sorts of people. Really thorough and relaxing, and also got rid of a ton of knots and tightness in just one go.

My wife and I just got married on 10/14/23! We used Doreen and The Look Spa to help us with hair and makeup for our big day. They were amazing! Doreen and her crew accommodated 2 brides and 10 bridesmaids, came to our hotel bridal suites at 5:30 am to get us all ready, and made everyone look so gorgeous! Everyone looked natural and their beauty was only enhanced by the team's makeup and hair. We were so happy with their timeliness, professionalism, pricing, skills and creativity! They were all such a joy to work with! I brought my own extensions but Doreen and crew brought the rest (except for coffee and mimosas) :) The trial I did with Doreen two months earlier was very helpful for planning and visualizing. I would recommend doing that for both hair and makeup. I really hope I can get my hair and makeup done again by Doreen because she made me feel and look so beautiful and I never worried. I am thinking about traveling all the way out to Long Island from Manhattan for the next big event I have, just so that I can have Doreen do my hair and makeup! She was fantastic!
