I went to Tokyo Nails yesterday because I had a broken nail and just needed a quick fix. Somehow I was convinced to go for a full set of gel — and I’m honestly so glad I did. I’ve had gel manicures many times before, but this was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The Tokyo gel has the perfect thickness and structure — it feels strong, smooth, and really well-balanced. The technician was incredibly precise and gentle, and you could tell she genuinely cared about doing the job correctly rather than rushing through it. It wasn’t cheap, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Of all the nail salons I’ve been to around the world, this one really stands out. I got a green cat-eye set and I’m obsessed with how it turned out. I’ll definitely be back.

I have very tricky nails, so finding the right salon has always been a challenge. After trying more than 20 salons in Chicago, I can confidently say Tokyo Nail Salon is the best. Their technique is exceptional and completely different from what I’ve experienced elsewhere. They use high-quality materials, and the level of precision is impressive. You should check their Instagram page—the designs are truly unique. From elegant and classy styles to cute looks and full diamond designs, it’s work you honestly don’t see anywhere else in Chicago. Highly recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 💅✨

I’ve visited Tokyo Nails twice now and this place is truly a gem! I’ve gotten gel nail designs from both Michele and Melody and they executed the art beautifully each time. The salon is clean and whole experience feels relaxing from start to finish. My nails came out flawless and lasted so well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for amazing gel nail work!

I’ve gotten two hard gel manicures here and both times have been great experiences! The artists are meticulous but also efficient. It is a bit pricier than other nail salons, but my last hard gel manicure has lasted 4 weeks which helps justify the price.

I’ve been to this salon twice, so my review is off of only 2 occasions. I had a different nail artist/technician both times (Michelle and Wendy). Both were talented, sweet, and quiet during my appointment. They did a great job taking care of my cuticles and nail beds before creating beautiful art on my hands. My only complaints are that I wish the pricing was a tad lower OR they did a better job describing what exactly I get for the price. I have a feeling I could ask for more intricate designs and then I would feel like I’m truly getting my money’s worth. That being said, the salon is very clean and cute. Also my gel lasted 5 weeks and only one nail lifted.
