Tammy always gets me right. She’s one of those rare stylists who actually knows how to work with any type of hair, and it shows every time I leave her chair. She doesn’t rush, she listens, and she makes sure you walk out feeling fresh and confident. It’s easy to trust her because she really cares about how you look and feel when you’re done. Honestly, once you sit in her chair, you won’t want to go anywhere else.

10000/10! Let me tell you, Tammy does not disappoint! I flew into Houston for a wedding and needed my hair done bad. I landed at 8:30am and called Tammy (I found her salon on google). She informed me if I can get there by 10am, she can do my hair. I got the shop and Tammy was welcoming. She laid my pixie down, and she didn’t even need to use any wraps. She is a true hair stylist with a cosmetology background - the techniques she used, I haven’t seen anywhere else. My hair lasted all weekend and it was only $60! Wash included! I will fly back to Houston just so she can my hair! If you need your done, I highly recommend.

I relocated back here to Houston last August after living up North for 3 years!! I knew that once I came back to Houston that was going to mean Drama as far as my hair was concern!! I was diagnosed with Cancer in August 2021!! And at that time it was advised to me that I not get anymore relaxers due to the fact my hair was going through a lot of stress and trauma!! So I was able to get away with a Silk and Press!! But I knew that wasn't going to work with the climate that Houston has!! Hot 🔥 and the Humidity is how we Roll here in H-town!! After about 3 months of being back home I noticed that my hair was breaking and shredding like crazy!! I knew eventually I was going to have to get back up under the care of a Skilled Beautician in Houston!! I googled and found Tammy at Trendz Black Hair Salon I called Tammy and booked a consultation with her so she could see my hair!! She told that a Silk and Press wouldn't hold in this climate but I knew that going in so instead of shielding my hair with hair extensions or braids I decided to do what I've always known when it comes to my hair!! A fresh Relaxer and a Prixie Short Cut to Rock for the Summer!! Tammy laid my hair I loved the relaxer she use and my cut!! Tammy was Professional and extremely Down To Earth 🌎 and I felt right at home with her!! She advised me on the next steps in getting my hair back Healthy and Looking Good 👍🏽!! If your in need of a Skilled Beautician with a little bit of Ole' School Flavor I would highly Recommend Trendz By Tammy Black 🖤 Hair Salon!!
