Been working on this tattoo with Jake Shafer the past couple of months and im beyond happy with the result. He did an amazing job and was super professional and nice for every session. I will definitely be going back to have Jake finish up my sleeve. The other artists in shop are also extremely kind and do amazing work as well.

I’ve gotten several tattoos in varying styles from a number of artists over the years but wanted to find someone with a knack for realism to tackle my latest piece: an image of my son and daughter’s teddy bears on my forearm. In searching online, I was thrilled to find such a talent in Traverse City, Jake Shafer of Truth Seeker Tattoo. I loved his sample work and knew he’d be perfect for what I was looking for. And he exceeded even those expectations. Friendly, professional and gifted at what he does, Jake took his time to put great care in the piece and the result surpassed both the picture I provided for reference and what I had pictured in my mind. I love it, and my kids dig it too. If you’re looking to ink something meaningful or just plain trust someone putting a permanent piece of art on your body, you’d be in good hands with Jake and Truth Seeker. I can’t recommend enough.

Truth Seeker Tattoo is the place to go to get your body art done! Top notch place with top notch artists! My artist was Jake who did this incredible piece for me that I will forever love! I highly recommend Jake for your next tattoo! He will take care of you in the best way possible til the very end! Great place to go for insane pieces of art!

Beth McElhaney — 5/5 (via Google)

Jake Shafer killed my rework of a coverup I had started. Being an artist myself I was super picky about who I had redo this piece and he NAILED it. Shop is a whole vibe, super calm very clean and fun. Jake took the time to discuss my goals with my tattoo and the end result and absolutely delivered results. 10/10 would recommend. I will also be coming back for more work from him.
