I first stumbled across Under the Sun when my family and I made an impromptu visit to Floyd, VA. I eventually came back to get a very special tattoo done (my evergreen) in 2021. I entrusted Abby my idea, she ran with it and created exactly what I wanted. I then came back to get the Lion done in 2023 (one of Abby's previously drawn designs). Abby's intentionality and attention to detail is phenomenal & I love being around her, she is such a light! Under the Sun is a very clean shop with extremely talented artists. The whole Under the Sun team are very skilled at what they do. They go above and beyond to create a peaceful and welcoming environment. I could go on - but clearly, there are so many reasons as to why I keep coming back! (even when I live about 4 hours away) Under the Sun Tattoo is truly a gem in the beautiful city of Floyd, VA.

I recommend this tattoo shop wherever I go! I have had such a wonderful experience every single time… and there have been a few haha. It is such a positive and light atmosphere. The artists are amazing in their own right. I am a proud member of Sandra’s coloring book! Due the the all women atmosphere it is a really comfortable and welcoming environment for everyone but especially women customers!!! All of the tattoos below were done by Sandra 🤍

Visited with a friend for walk in Wednesday and fell in love! Heather did a great job bringing my idea to life, and everyone I encountered at the shop was warm and friendly. The work is high quality and the prices are very reasonable! Definitely worth the drive, and I'll be planning a trip back as soon as I can!

Awesome shop. Awesome staff. My artist is Morgan. Just starting a sleeve. Her work is impeccable!! Her attention to detail is phenomenal. The whole vibe while getting inked was like hanging out with old friends…well I’m older so like hanging out with my daughter in laws. Can’t wait to continue the sleeve journey with Morgan and Under the Sun!
