I worked with Alin as my stylist and she was truly amazing!! I first met with her for a consultation in September, and she let me know she recommends waiting 2 months before bleaching my roots again (I had done full head bleach in June), which I actually appreciated because it seemed like she put my hair health first. And when I finally came back for my appointment in January (for balayage / color correction), everything she did was to prevent breakage and put the health of my hair first - the whole process took the entire day (12-8) and she was busy working on it the WHOLE time! I was truly so amazed by her dedication and attention to detail. Also, somehow after this appointment, my hair felt healthier/smoother than before (even though we bleached it). I will definitely come back to her when I’m ready to lighten my hair again, and would recommend her to anyone :)

I am so glad to have found Alin via IG to do my hair. We discussed options before our scheduled appointment so it made it easier. She was so nice and professional throughout the whole process. My bleached hair needed a whole new different hair style after grown out roots from my last bleach session from another place. Alin is so knowledgeable about hair color and styles. Being a natural blonde with finer hair and always being in and out of the ocean, I have always been pretty anxious to get highlights or balayages. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a balayage or a full highlight and I hadn’t had my hair done in almost year and a half. Charles listened to what I wanted and helped me pick the best service to achieve that. He also was extremely sensitive to my hair health and added conditioner to the bleach and chose to use a low volume recognizing my hair lifts very easily. I really appreciated how he listened to my concerns and continually reassured me and explained his process. The experience at the salon is too notch. Charles and his assistant were working on my hair together and I felt like they were really paying attention to every single detail. I do not think my hair has ever looked better and he did an amazing job at giving me exactly what I wanted. He did super fine highlights and blended it out so seamlessly to compliment my natural hair. My hair feels great and I can’t wait to go back!

Charles！！！！I truly don’t even know where to begin. This was my very first time trying balayage. In the past, I always did full bleach and color, and every time my hair grew out, the harsh line between my roots and the blonde looked so obvious and awkward. Because of that, I intentionally spent over a year growing out my natural roots so I could finally achieve the soft, seamless balayage I’ve always dreamed of. And it was 1000% worth the wait. I actually flew from Chicago to New York just to have Charles do my hair — and now I understand why he’s so highly recommended. Charles is not only incredibly talented, but also one of the most reliable and detail-oriented colorists I’ve ever met. He treats every section of hair with precision and care, constantly checking placement, tone, and blend to make sure everything melts together perfectly. The result? Absolutely flawless. I just got my hair done for the second time with Charles and left beyond happy with the results yet again. I’m super picky with my hair color and have been getting my hair bleached for the past 10 years and finally feel like I’ve found someone I click with in NYC. Charles didn’t rush the initial consultation, and looked at my inspo pics and told me what would be realistic and explained the techniques he’d be using to achieve this. I also appreciated his small attention to details like asking whether I wanted a money piece without just doing it (I personally don’t like the look), if I wear my hair up in a ponytail often, etc, to make sure the result turned out exactly how I wanted it. I had my first appt in May 2025 and he told me not to come back for at least 9 months or else my hair would get too damaged (previous stylists would tell me I need to come back every 3-4 months). Honesty like that is what makes me trust a hairstylist and become a repeat client. I didn’t even feel like I needed to come back until 10 months later because my hair grew out so seamlessly and I kept getting compliments on it even 8 months later 🤣 my hair also never turned brassy which is a miracle in itself. If you’re looking for a trustworthy and talented balayage / foilyage specialist definitely check out Charles - you won’t regret it!
