——Update—— The salon went above and beyond to fix the situation. They reached out the next day to confirm a reschedule and offered to do my nails on them, which was completely unexpected and more than enough. I respect and appreciate the steps they made to clear up the miscommunication from the prior day, and my nails came out better than I’d asked for. Tan did my nails and I’m very happy with how they turned out, and it just reaffirms why I wanted to go to this salon in the first place. I would definitely come back to the salon, and would love to work with Tan again. ——Original Post—— I’m incredibly frustrated with both locations of this nail salon. Before deciding to go to either shop, I reviewed the website linked for the salon and Instagram posts of their work, and chose a design/inspo picture that looked like the work they advertise on social media. I drove to the Des Peres location and was told by the nail techs that they aren’t able to do that kind of design, but the South County location might be able to. The nail tech called the South County salon and confirmed that they would be able to do the design for me. They asked for my name and number to book the appointment and the time that I could be there. I gave them my info and said I’d be there in 20 minutes. The receptionist booked the appt and I drove to the other salon. I showed up at the South County location earlier than I’d told them, it took me 17 minutes to drive there from the Des Peres location. The receptionist asked if I had an appointment and I’d told her that I’d just called with the nail tech from the other salon and she said she remembered the conversation. She brought me to a nail tech and I showed the photo, the nail tech said she couldn’t do the design and told me to pick something else. The receptionist asked the other nail techs and all said that they couldn’t do the design, except for one that had taken a customer after I’d walked in. This exchange took 15 minutes of finding someone to do the design. So instead of taking me to the right tech that I’d already called ahead to set up, I then got pushed back because nobody could do the design. After another 45 minutes of waiting, I left. I’d spent 2 hours in total just trying to get in to get my nails done with something they advertised they could do. I’m extremely frustrated because this shop completely false advertised what they’re capable of doing— if I pull something from your social media that you claim as your work, then why is there nobody at either salon that could do the design? On top of that, why would the second salon tell me they can do a design and confirm that the appointment was booked, for me to have to wait an additional hour after showing up to the second salon?

Kayla is the BEST technician I have ever worked with. She was phenomenal from start to finish and went above and beyond for me! I can’t recommend this place and her enough! I’m so thrilled. I’ll never go anywhere else!!!!!
