5 +++ I had a facial today with Melinda, and I almost don’t want to call it just a “facial” — it was truly an experience. From the moment you walk into her space, the ambiance is beautiful, calming, and so refreshing. Melinda is incredibly kind ❤️❤️and welcoming, and you can immediately feel that you’re in good hands. I’ve been struggling with skin issues for the past year and a half to two years, so I had a lot of questions. She answered every single one with patience and knowledge, and made thoughtful recommendations tailored specifically to me. You can tell she genuinely knows her craft. I’ve had facials before… but after today, I realized I’ve never really had a facial like this. The massage, the time and attentiveness she gives, the lip scrub, the arms, the neck — I literally transcended. It was relaxing, thorough, and intentional in a way I’ve never experienced. My skin has never looked better.☺️ If you’re looking for someone knowledgeable in skincare who provides an amazing experience and is truly down-to-earth, please book with Melinda. A truly relaxing experience with expert care. I have had several facials at different spa locations around Rochester before, and Voluminous Moon is above average. The atmosphere is relaxing, sure, but also feels cozy and personal rather than sterile and boring like a chain. Melinda shared the process that she would be following so that I knew what to expect and could relax instead of wonder. She shared her professional and experienced recommendations for my continuous skincare at home, not attempting to sell me any specific branded products, just gave me an honest consultation. I found this location via Google and scheduled looking forward to some extractions and a deep cleanse. Extractions can be pretty uncomfortable and sometimes painful, but these were on the milder side of discomfort and took care of all of my specific areas of concern as well as some I was unaware of. Many spas do provide massages with their facials, but the experience is not guaranteed. I've had some pretty below-average experiences before. My experience here was definitely top-tier. I didnt even know my neck was sore until Melinda fixed that. I left feeling refreshed and relaxed, and with specific instructions for how to care for this beautiful glow for the next couple days. I will most definitely be recommending this location to family and friends.
