I’ve been coming to this salon for about a year now and have always had great experiences—until today. I came in with a photo reference, asked if the design would be too difficult, and was assured it wouldn’t be a problem. Unfortunately, the result was disappointing. The number eight on each of my index fingers looked poorly done at first. I politely told her no when she asked if I liked the number 8s, and while she did fix them, she seemed visibly annoyed, so I didn’t feel comfortable asking for any additional corrections. The checkered pattern also didn’t turn out well, which was surprising since I’ve had checker print sets done here before that looked amazing. Additionally, I usually get white powder for my sets, but today a pinkish nude was used instead, which doesn’t match the design and looks off. (Not that it is a big deal, it just made the set look off.) There are also some lumps under the polish, possibly from product curing unevenly. This was my first time having Kim do my nails, and it will likely be the last. She even questioned whether I come to the salon based on my previous (hotdog-themed) nails—which I personally loved and had done here by Penny, the owner. Despite this experience, I want to be clear: I love this salon and have always been treated with respect and kindness. One disappointing set won’t stop me from coming back. I’ll include photos of the black eight ball and checker print set, as well as a few of my all-time favorites.

I love slick spa nails! I’ve been going to ivy for a couple of times now and she is always so great when it comes to my pedicures :) she knows how to be gentle and careful with Ingrowns and never causes pain! She’s amazing! The staff here is super nice as well!

Today was my first time at Slick Spa Nails! The service was amazing. I met Penny and she was so professional and had great customer service. She was so sweet and nice! The nail salon was so nice and clean. Awesome Prices! My nails look beautiful! I can't wait to go back for my refill! Thank you, Penny!
